PORTAGE COUNTY, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A man was found dead Saturday near the U.S. Highway 10 West overpass on County Road X, and investigators suspect he died by suicide.
The Portage County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an unresponsive man at approximately 1:17 p.m. Saturday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s name has not been released. The incident remains under investigation. The Wisconsin State Patrol, Stevens Point Police Department, Dewey Fire Department, Hull Fire Department, Portage County Ambulance and Portage County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted the Portage County Sheriff’s Office.
