Jeff Heinz has been known as the “Polka King” of Central Wisconsin for over 30 years. He has a passion for polkas and is known throughout the country for the WDEZ Polka Jamboree radio show on 101.9 WDEZ (WDEZ.com) Sunday mornings from 6 a.m. to 12 noon for over 38 years, and has developed one of the “most listened to” Polka Programs in the Country and one of the highest rated radio shows in Central Wisconsin. Jeff has won numerous awards throughout the years Inducted into the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame in 2006, 2009 and 2013 and also received Wisconsin’s Polka Music “Outstanding Achievement” in 2005. Jeff travels around the country and world playing drums and keeping tabs on what’s going on in the polka field. Jeff, who has been playing drums since age five, has been with The Music Connection Band for over 38 years. Jeff is also very passionate for his involvement with St. Jude, The Wausau Noon Optimists and has been a Board member of the Wisconsin Valley fair for many years. Besides also working fulltime for Midwest Communications as a Senior Marketing Consultant, he also enjoys doing MC work for a lot of the local fundraisers in Central Wisconsin. He also loves spending time with his boys Alex and Nicholas, whether it be hunting, fishing or being in the woods. And then there’s Hank their Yellow Lab.
