WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Wausau Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a weekend shooting incident.
According to a press release, officers were called to a Wausau-area hospital for a report of a patient with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. They told investigators that they had been shot in a parking lot on 3rd Avenue.
After further investigation, officers identified the suspect as Jacob A. F. Lo and obtained an arrest warrant for him on Wednesday morning. He was spotted driving in Wausau, and officers immediately attempted a traffic stop.
Lo fled, leading officers from multiple jurisdictions on a chase. His vehicle was eventually stopped, and he was arrested after a foot chase.
Police are recommending a charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, though the investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wausau PD or submit an anonymous tip through Crimestoppers.
