STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — The city of Stevens Point is launching a community preservation plan.
Mayor Mike Wiza says the plan includes a community survey designed to create a unified vision for preserving the city’s historic nature while cultivating future development. “preserving our community history is something that needs buy-in from everyone. Doing so will help lay a roadmap to ensuring future generations will have access to the literal foundations this community was built upon.”
The survey is available online and features 18 questions. The plan will also include four public workshops from May 7th through the 22nd. Those will focus on historic architectural guidelines and walking tours of the downtown and historic residential neighborhoods.
Residents can learn more about the plan at the city’s website.
