WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Valley Fair has announced that pop-country singer Mitchell Tenpenny will be performing.
Tenpenny will take the stage on August 1st and then Fireworks Country will put on a fireworks display. On Wednesday, August 2, rock legend Rick Springfield will perform, and on Thursday, August 3, Grammy-nominated country star Jo Dee Messina will take the stage. The rodeo will be on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is the Demolition Derby.
Tenpenny was nominated for Best New Male Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards back in 2019 and his hit song “Drunk Me” became number two on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, number six on the Hot Country Songs chart, and gave him his first top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
Other notable hits of his include “Truth About You” and “We Got History”.
Tickets previously purchased for August 1st will still be honored and tickets are still available at wisconsinvalleyfair.com.
The fair will run from August 1 to 6.
