If your home has been feeling a little too quiet lately, we found the sweetest soul who is ready to fill it with purrs, headbutts, and unconditional love.
Meet Mittens, our WDEZ Featured Pet of the Week from the Humane Society of Marathon County!
She arrived at the shelter after her previous owner had to move and could not bring her along. Through no fault of her own, this loving girl is starting over—and she is taking it all in stride with the sweetest attitude you will ever find.
A Little Extra to Love (For Now!)
Mittens describes herself as a “portly lady,” and honestly, who among us in Central Wisconsin has not carried a few extra pounds through the winter?
She is currently on a mission to slim down and get active, meaning she would love a partner who will cheer her on during playtime. Grab a feather wand or a laser pointer, and she is ready to get her daily steps in right alongside you.
Here is a quick snapshot of why Mittens is pure gold:
-
Sweet as Pie: She is gentle, affectionate, and thrives on attention from her humans.
-
Master Cuddler: Perfect company for relaxing on the couch while catching your favorite country tunes on the radio.
-
Ready for Her Fresh Start: She has so much loyalty left to give to a family ready to welcome her home for good.
