Atlas Kieiser
TOWN OF MARION, WI (WSAU) — 11:30 AM UPDATE: Both Murphy and Kleiser were found safe. No further information has been provided. WSAU’s original report is below:
A five-year-old child has been reported missing, possibly kidnapped, after his biological mother failed to show for a custody exchange Thursday morning.
Investigators say Carrie Murphy was ordered by the court to drop Atlas M. Kleiser off with his father at 11:00 AM at the New Lisbon Police Department, but she didn’t show. A FLOCK database search indicated her vehicle was traveling northbound through Jackson County at that time.
There is concern for her mental state, as investigators note she has been held in contempt of the custody agreement on multiple occasions. Officers add that she became agitated during a recent court hearing and was nearly jailed.

Officers responded to her home in Rusk County Thursday, but she had been tipped off and left before they arrived. It’s unclear where she went.
The alert was sent statewide because Murphy has ties to several areas of the state. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office at (608) 847-5649.
