MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Brewers broke the hearts of Cubs fans with an improbable 4-3 comeback win.
Trailing by 2 and down to their final our, Christian Yelich singled and Jackson Churio hit a 1-0 pitch over the left field wall to tie the game in the 9th. It was his 4th hit of the game and his 22nd homer of the season.
Tied 3-3 in the 10th, rookie Luis Lara singled down the left-field line to win the game.
Jacob Misiorowski worked 6-innngs, allowing 1 earned run and striking out 9.
The Brewers now have a 9 game lead over the Cubs in the NL Central. Their magic number to win the division is 7.
The Brewers and Cubs play Wednesday night at 6:05pm on WSAU. Logan Henderson (9-3) wll pitch for Milwaukee.
