Sep 04 (Field Level Media) – LIV Golf’s Peter Uihlein’s attempt to qualify for the DP World Tour fizzled Friday when he failed to show up for his tee time at Qualifying School.
The 37-year-old American was disqualified after he was a no-show for his third round of the opening stage at Huddersfield Golf Club in West Yorkshire, England.
Uihlein opened with rounds of 74 and 73 and was tied for 66th place entering Friday at 7-over-par, according Golfweek. Only the top 19 players (with ties) will advance to the next stage.
With LIV Golf facing an uncertain future, Uihlein was one of three players from the financially struggling circuit in the field at Huddersfield along with Spain’s Luis Masaveu and Josele Ballester.
A member of RangeGoats GC in LIV Golf, Uihlein opened the 2026 season with consecutive third-place finishes at Riyadh and Adelaide. He joined the breakaway league in 2022.
