TOWN OF CARSON, WI (WSAU) — The Portage County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in the Town of Carson.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of County Road M at about 11 AM on Tuesday for a report of a person suffering from “severe, traumatic injuries.”
When law enforcement and EMS crews arrived on the scene, they found the victim was deceased. Officers are now investigating the incident, and anyone with information is asked to call the Portage County Sheriff’s Office at (715) 346-1400.
A suspect or suspects remain unknown at this time. No further information has been released, including the victim’s name and age.
Responding agencies included the Portage County Sheriff and Medical Examiner’s offices, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Rudolph EMS, and the Stevens Point Police Department.
