This week, we are featuring a very special, resilient, and incredibly handsome boy who is looking for a gentle soul to open their heart to him. If you’ve been around the local rescue scene for a while, his face might look a little familiar. Everyone, please meet Oscar.

Oscar’s Story, In His Own Words 🐕❤️

*”Hello, I’m Oscar! I may look familiar to a few of you. I was here at HSMC back in 2022 as part of a large hoarding case. I was adopted and was living my absolute best life up until a few days ago when I found myself back at HSMC.

It wasn’t my owner’s fault at all, and it wasn’t mine either. Time is a strange thing, and for all of us there will be a time when we need to put ourselves and our health first and that’s what my amazing adopter needed to do. They needed to put themselves first, even if that meant I had to come back to HSMC.

I’m not mad, at all. I have lots of friends here and my friends helped me back in 2022 to become my true self. They helped me through my shyness until I was adopted and had the most amazing life. And I know they have my back again, they will help me find an amazing new home and family. And I know my forever mom will be watching out for me too. She loved me enough to get back to the one place I know will always be there for me.

So, if you think you have it in your heart to make room for one more, shy, sweet and handsome boy – then please come visit me soon.”*

• A Sweet, Gentle Soul: Because of his rough start prior to 2022, Oscar can be a little shy at first. But beneath that initial hesitation is a deeply sweet, loyal dog who just needs a patient person to let his true personality shine.

• Handsome as They Come: With a face like that, how can you resist? He is ready to be your quiet confidant, your walking buddy, and your ultimate companion.
