TOMAHAWK, WI (WSAU) — A Wausau man was arrested in Tomahawk last week following a high-speed chase.
It happened on Monday, May 25th, when an officer recognized a vehicle driven by Nicholas Langston of Wausau. Knowing he had a warrant for his arrest, the officer attempted to pull him over.
Langston sped off, and the officer gave chase. The pursuit reached speeds of 130 MPH before the officer terminated it for safety.
The suspect was later found in a bar in Tomahawk, where officers arrested him for multiple felony charges, including possession of methamphetamine and narcotics, fleeing an officer, recklessly endangering safety, and bail jumping. He was booked into the Lincoln County Jail, where he is being held on a $10,000 bond.
Further court action is scheduled for June 15th. As of Monday, Langston was still waiting for a public defender.
