MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a driver following a traffic stop on Friday.
The State Patrol attempted to pull over the unidentified person on Friday evening, but they took off. The suspect then suffered what appears to be a fatal, self-inflicted injury.
No further information was released, including what led officers to attempt the traffic stop.
Police from Tomahwak also responded to the incident.
The investigation remains active.
