WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Four of Marathon County’s six snowmobile trail zones will close on Friday.
According to a news release from the County’s Parks, Recreation, and Forestry department, zones two and five will remain open; the rest will close on the following schedule:
Zone 1 – Closing Friday, February 13th at 6 AM.
Zone 2 – Open until further notice.
Zone 3 – Closing Friday, February 13th at 6 AM.
Zone 4 – Closing Friday, February 13th at 6 AM.
Zone 5 – Open until further notice.
Zone 6 – Closing Friday, February 13th at 6 AM.
Riders should use caution and stay on open trails. Riding off-trail is trespassing and could result in the loss of trails and a citation.
