Enhnort Leonardo Araujo Valero
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – A man is under arrest after using an implanted electronic device to break into an ATM at Brokaw Credit Union in Weston.
Enhnort Araujo-Valero, 27, was arrested on Monday, December 15th at 4am. Police say he was trying to use a cellphone to trick the ATM into dispensing money. Other illegal electronic items has already been implanted inside the ATM. The crime is known as “jackpoting.”
Police arrived on the scene after getting an alert that the ATM on Schofield Avenue had been breached.
Araujo-Valero is a Venezuelan national who is legally in the US. His address is in Chicago. He was booked into the Marathon County jail after a court appearance. Further court action is scheduled for January 2nd.
