RIB MOUNTAIN, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Winter sports enthusiasts in central Wisconsin are thrilled as Granite Peak Ski Area opens for the season.
The ski area will welcome skiers and snowboarders starting at 9am Friday for a three-day weekend.
The recent natural snowfall and cold temperatures allowed the team to work around the clock to produce enough snow to open some runs.
Granite Peak will pause operations during the week to make more snow and prepare additional runs.
They will reopen on Friday, December 5 for another weekend, and will be open seven days a week starting December 12.
