Wisconsin Badgers
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin Badgers nearly put up 100 for a second straight game, topping Northern Illinois 97-72 in non-conference play on Friday.
Nick Boyd led the way with 25 points, going 8/16 from the field and 8/6 from the free throw line. John Blackwell added 15 points, Nolan Winter scored 14.
Wisconsin opened the game on a 12-2 run and never trailed, forcing 17 NIU turnovers along the way.
The Badgers are now 2-0 on the season and will take on another Mid-America Conference team next Tuesday when they host Ball State University out of Muncie, IN. Tip-off from the Kohl Center is at 7:30 PM, with pregame coverage at 7:00 on WSAU.
