RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — Seven people are accused of trafficking fentanyl in the Rhinelander area, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Those involved include:
Jerome M. Brisby of Chicago, age 40
Lance E. Reinke, who is currently held at the New Lisbon Correctional Facility, age 37
Ryan N. Nest of Rhinelander, age 40
Joseph R. LaPuma of Rhinelander, age 29
Lisa K. Hooper of Rhinelander, age 38
Zane R. Olsen of Rhinelander, age 27
And Desiree L. McGinnity of Rhinelander, age 21
The arrests were the result of a “large-scale” investigation by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, Northcentral Drug Enforcement Group Task Force (NORDEG), and the Wisconsin Department of Justice- Division of Criminal Investigation. Additional support was provided by the Marathon, Portage, and Waushara County Sheriff’s Offices and Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force.
No details regarding the investigation and what led officers to the individuals were released. All seven are now facing charges for conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of fentanyl.
Court action against the suspects is pending.
