MADISON, WI (WSAU) – A former longtime Wisconsin Supreme Court justice has passed away after spending over a decade on the bench.
According to WTMJ, former Justice David T. Prosser, Jr. died over the weekend at the age of 81 after battling cancer in recent months. Throughout his more than 40-year career, Prosser held the important positions of Outagamie County District Attorney and Speaker and Minority Leader in the Wisconsin Assembly.

Justice Prosser was appointed to the Supreme Court by former Gov. Tommy G. Thompson in 1998 and won his 2001 and 2011 races to remain on the bench and retired from the high court during the summer of 2016.
