MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Big Ten Conference has announced the makeup of the 2024-’25 men’s basketball schedule.
Wisconsin will only play three home-and-home series against protected rivals Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa next year, accounting for six of their 20 conference games.
The Badgers will then play a single game against each of the remaining 14 schools, seven at home and seven on the road.
Home games will include Indiana, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Ohio State, Penn State, and Washington.
Road contests will feature Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers, USC, and UCLA.
The Big Ten will release the dates for those games later this summer.
Wisconsin’s non-conference schedule for next year is also taking shape with the Badgers slated to play two games in the Inaugural Greenbrier Tip-Off in West Virginia alongside Pitt, Central Florida, and a fourth team to be announced. They’ll also play a home date against Arizona as part of a home-and-home agreement with the Wildcats that was signed last summer. The two teams played the first game of that agreement in Tempe last December with Arizona winning 98-73. At the time Arizona was ranked #1, and Wisconsin at #23 in the Top 25.
The 2024-’25 season will be the first under the Big Ten’s new 18-school alignment. The top 15 schools will make the league tournament next March with teams seeded 10th through 15th playing opening-round games.
