JANESVILLE, WI (WSAU) — A Wisconsin Rapids woman has been charged with her 7th OWI after a traffic incident on Highway 164 in Rock County.
State Patrol officers say they received a complaint about an erratic driver Saturday morning. That vehicle eventually drove into the ditch along the highway.
When officers arrived they found the driver still behind the wheel of the car, which came to rest about ten feet off the shoulder on an embankment. Officers arrested the driver, 48-year-old Melissa Tillotson, on suspicion of her 7th OWI along with charges of violation of ignition lock device restriction and operating with a restricted license.
Previous OWI charges against Tillotson date back to 2011 in Columba County, according to online court records. Court action for Saturday’s incident is pending.
