RHINELANDER, WI (WSAU) — The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve arrested a Rhinelander Corrections Officer for accusations of Solicitation of Prostitution and Misconduct in public offices.
Jacob Petitt, 26, was arrested on January 11th by the Oneida Co. Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigations.
Police say Petitt, a corrections officer with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, was having inappropriate contact with females who had been incarcerated at the Oneida County Jail.
He appears in court on Wednesday afternoon for formal charging.
Police ask that anyone who can assist with the investigation should contact Detective Sergeant Kelly Moermond.
