WESTON, WI (WSAU) — Two garages are gone following an afternoon fire in Weston on Saturday.
No one was injured after two garages caught fire on Lahr Avenue off of Camp Phillips Road in Weston. Multiple area fire departments responded to the blaze around 1:35 p.m. and fought the fire for around an hour. Batallion Chief Evan McBain with the South Area Fire District says that there was some damage to a home on the property in some melted siding, but the family will not be displaced.
Officials say the structure was older and made of dry wood. Everest Metro Police had Lahr Avenue blocked off for about an hour. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
