AMHERST, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A 44-year-old man from Amherst is accused of intentionally running over his father.
On Monday at 11:43 am, Portage County officials responded to a disturbance, where initial information indicated a man was struck and injured by a vehicle.
According to a press release from Sheriff Mike Lukas, Daniel Sullivan, 76, died after being struck by a vehicle driven by his son, Daniel Sullivan Jr, 44. A preliminary investigation suggests that the son struck his father intentionally. It’s unclear what led to the altercation.
The suspect is in custody at the Portage County Jail for requested charges of first-degree intentional homicide. He is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
The incident is still under investigation.
