MADISON, WI (WAOW TV-WSAU) — Republican Rebecca Kleefisch made it official this morning. She will run for governor next year.
Kleefisch, who served as Lt. Governor under Scott Walker for eight years, made the announcement in a campaign video and an appearance on “Fox & Friends”.
In the video, she casts Gov. Evers as weak and says she’s ready to back the police and fight special interests. The 46-year-old is the highest-profile Republican to announce a run against Evers next year.
