Connect and share about agriculture in Northeast Wisconsin through the radio and social media channels at Midwest Communications. This is a hands-on and in-person summer internship to explore farm broadcasting and digital storytelling.
Intern job responsibilities include:
- Conduct virtual and in-person interviews with people in the agricultural community
- Attend field days, workshops, conferences, fairs and planned visits to farms
- Prepare, conduct, edit and finalize an interview and then turn it into a report for the radio, podcast episode and social media post
- Organize for an interview by doing prior research on the subject, creating an action plan which includes audio and visual opportunities
- Utilize Adobe to edit and finalize interviews
- Hands-on experience using professional equipment to capture audio and visuals
- Additional opportunities include learning about production, sales and promotion.

Hours: 16 hours a week
Pay: $15 per hour
Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 AM – 4 PM, occasionally weekends for events
