Jason Tourtillott
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — A man found guilty of killing his father in 2021 will be sentenced this afternoon.
Jason Tourtillott is due in court at 1:30 PM for a sentencing hearing after pleading no contest to one count of first-degree reckless homicide this summer. The 28-year-old killed Thomas Tourtillott in July 2021. Thomas was found dead in his home after a report of an unresponsive person.
Jason was immediately named as a person of interest but wasn’t arrested until January 2025. It’s unclear what evidence led authorities to issue a warrant.
Monday’s hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM. He faces up to 40 years in prison and another two decades on extended supervision.
