TOWN OF AURORA, WI (WSAU) — A 36-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 73 in Taylor County.
Investigators say the vehicle was heading south on the highway when it left the roadway and entered the west-side ditch. The vehicle rolled and re-entered the roadway, coming to a rest facing north. One person was ejected from the vehicle and found lying in the roadway when first responders arrived.
He was identified as Nathan Burke of Black River Falls. Life-saving measures were attempted, but he died at the scene. A second occupant, 45-year-old Bradley Olson of Black River Falls, was treated at the scene and later arrested for drug-related charges.
Officers did not specify who was driving or what charges Olson will be facing. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
No further information was released and the investigation into the crash is continuing.
