Wausau Woodchucks
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – The Wausau Woodchucks won their 5th straight game on Friday night, defeating the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 15-3.
Right fielder Caleb Danzeisen, first baseman Dawson Harman, and designated hitter Dylan LaPointe led the offense, combining for six hits, four home runs, and seven RBIs.
L.J. Drummond earned the win as he continues to develop for Wausau throughout the season, allowing only two runs on six hits while striking out nine. He’s now 5-3 this season, with an ERA of 3.63 in 22.1 innings pitched.
Drummond had solid relief from Brady Wright and Jackson King, who combined to allow no runs and strike out seven in three innings to end the game.
The Woodchucks will face the Dock Spiders again on Saturday, with Wausau’s Broden Jackson on the mound and Fond du Lac’s starter still to be named. The first pitch from Herr-Baker Field is set for 4:05.
