CINCINNATI, OH (WSAU) Branon Woodruff carried a perfect game into the 6th inning in his comeback start after being placed on injured reserve. The Brewers broke through with 2-runs in the 10th inning for a 2-1 win over the Reds.
Joey Ortiz hit a sacrafice fly to right to score the game’s first rin. The Brewers got an insurance run after a wild pitch by Tony Santillan.
Woodruff retired the first 16 batters he faced, striking out 10. His fastball was in the low 90s.
The Brewers maintained a 5-game lead in the NL Central over the Cardinals.
The Brewers and Reds continue their series at 5:35pm tonight on WSAU.
