MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks may be nearing a deal to send two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to South Beach.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Jim Owczarski, the Bucks are “largely ok” with Miami’s offer for Giannis but could be looking for 3rd team to take Heat guard and Wisconsin native Tyler Herro in the deal.
Herro is signed to a four-year, $120 million rookie contract extension with the Miami Heat that runs through the 2026-27 season, but Milwaukee is interested in maximizing its rebuilding process by dealing Herro for additional draft picks or young players.
This report comes just two days after The Athletic’s Sam Amick and Stein Line NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed that Miami has offered Milwaukee Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jamie Jaquez Jr., either Pelle Larsson or Kasparas Jakucionis, and multiple first-round picks, including the 13th overall pick in next week’s 2026 NBA Draft, for Giannis.
