DENVER, CO (WSAU) — Jake Bauers, Garrett Mitchell, and Sal Frelick provided some 10th-inning fireworks as the Milwaukee Brewers turned a 5-5 tie into a 9-7 victory on Friday.
Bauers went 3-5 with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Frelick went 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored. Mitchell recorded one hit but made it count, a single in the 10th to score Gary Sanchez.
Brandon Sproat went five innings and allowed seven hits and three earned runs. He did not factor in the decision, as Trevor Megill would pick up his first win of the season in relief.
