WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Two local lawmakers will run for re-election this fall.
Brent Jacobson and Pat Snyder have announced that they will run for another term in the state Assembly.
In a press release, Jacobson said, “I am proud of the great work I was able to be a part of this past session both within the Republican caucus and in working across the aisle. There is always more we can do to improve our state, I am up for the challenge, and it would be an honor to continue to represent my constituents in Madison.”
Jacobson, the former Mayor of Mosinee, is nearing the end of his first full term representing the 87th Assembly District, which covers portions of Marathon, Portage, Waupaca, and Shawano Counties.
Snyder, the longtime 85th District Representative, will also seek another term in Madison. In his campaign announcement, he touted his work across party lines. “Throughout my time in the legislature, I have always fought for bipartisan solutions to our biggest problems.”
Democrat John Kroll has also declared for the 85th Assembly District race and launched a campaign website. Jacobson is currently unopposed, according to Ballotpedia.
The races will be decided as part of the November 3rd mid-term election.
