Joshua Woods
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A Marathon County jury has convicted an Onalaska man of second-degree sexual assault of a child, according to WAOW TV.
Court records show the jury returned its verdict against Joshua Woods after deliberating for only about 45 minutes.
Woods, 43, was originally set to go on trial in November, but the trial ended in a mistrial after two jury members said they could no longer be impartial.
No sentencing date has been set yet, but it is expected to be scheduled within 90 days.
In addition to this conviction, Woods is facing charges in a separate sexual assault case in La Crosse County. His next court appearance for that case is scheduled for April 7.
