WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Here are results from Tuesday’s spring election primaries.
In Wausau, Keene Winters and Kirstin Slonski outlasted Mario Diaz in the District 6 Alder primary. They advance to the April ballot, with the winner getting a two-year term on the City Council.
In Marshfield, seven candidates were vying for six places on the general election ballot. Advancing were Mark Borchardt, Dominic Pernsteiner, Mason M. Gukenberger, Ben Will, Brandon Taylor, and Faith Meyers. The seventh-place finisher, Mathew Samson, is currently the subject of multiple open felony cases and is being held in the Wood County jail on a cash bond. He received less than 2% of the vote.
It was a similar story in the D.C. Everest School District, where voters eliminated one candidate in a five-person primary. That appears to be Tony Eilers, who finished 5th behind Yee Leng Xiong, Bill Conway, Daron Juneau, and Jennifer Douck.
All results are unofficial until canvassed by local election officials.
There were no statewide races on Tuesday.
