MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A central Wisconsin construction business is giving students hands-on experience and detailed presentations.
“To explain this in one word I would use: interesting. It’s really interesting to look at every other career and what they do,” says Taylor, Greenland High School Junior.
“Outlook,” says Brighton, Pittsville High School Junior.
Approximately 230 students from 10 local schools traveled to Staab Construction for their annual Construction Career Day.
“We think it’s important that these kids can have an opportunity to do things that they maybe never thought they could of. And it’s here to peak their interest and we’re proud to be a part of it,” says Patrick Hughes, Kaabs Construction Operator.
Students attended detailed presentations, participated in hands-on activities, and even held a contest to see who could install wires the fastest.
