WAUSAU, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – The Humane Society of Marathon County confirms in a Facebook post that the six remaining dogs from Crossroads K9 Rescue in Kronenwetter have been surrendered to the humane society.
They add that they will not be providing any additional information, since the dogs are not up for adoption yet.
In January, Crossroads K9’s owner, Heather Zynda, was charged with animal abuse, including two felony counts of mistreatment of animals causing death.
Conditions of her bond do not allow for her to care for domestic animals.
Back in October, the person court documents say is her partner, Sean Michael Dumais, and another man were both charged with more than 40 counts of mistreatment of animals. Dumais owned a separate dog training company called Central Wisconsin K9, in Schofield.
