WISCONSIN RAPIDS, WI (WSAU) — Police in Wisconsin Rapids are still searching for Brian J. Baltus.
According to a Facebook post, officers believe the 63-year-old is safe. He has been spotted on video surveillance in the last few days, and there have been confirmed “close contacts” with him.
Officers say they believe he is intentionally “avoiding contact at this time,” though they would still like to speak with him.
“If you see or have contact with Brian Baltus, please contact the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department directly at 715-423-4444,” the post adds.
Family members say they appreciate the support from the community, but no further information regarding the situation will be made public, and they are asking for privacy at this time.
There is no indication of foul play at this time.
Baltus has been missing for more than two weeks. Police issued a be on the lookout for him last weekend.
