Lamont Davis
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A Spencer man is accused of homicide by delivery of drugs after a woman was found dead in a Wausau home last August.
Lamont Davis is accused of providing the cocktail of drugs found in her system at the time of her death. That included fentanyl and cocaine.
A search of her phone provided evidence linking her to Davis. A search of his apartment turned up drug paraphernalia and a firearm.
Investigators say the victim was recently evicted from her home and had been staying with three other men in Wausau. Davis knew the woman through social media.
The 36-year-old is facing three felony counts, including homicide by reckless delivery of drugs and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Additional charges include manufacturing or delivering fentanyl and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davis is jailed on a $500,000 cash bond with further court action scheduled for December 17th. He faces more than 50 years in prison if found guilty.
