Milwaukee Brewers
TORONTO, ON (WSAU) – There was no sweep for the Brewers in Toronto. They lost the final game of a three-game series on Sunday, 8-4.
Myles Straw and Nathan Lukes each hd 2-RBI for the blue Jays to avoid a three-game sweep.
The Brewers loaded the bases in the 5th inning, but came away with no runs.
William Contreras and Brice Turang had home runs in the Brewers’ loss. Jackson Chourio went 4-fot-5 in his second game back from a hamstring injury.
Milwaukee, at 85-53, still has the best record in baseball. The Cubs were waked off by the Rockies, and still trail the Brewers by 6 1/2 games.
The Brewers play the Phillies on Labor Day, with game coverage beginning at 2:35pm on WSAU.
