ARBOR VITAE, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – It was a deadly holiday weekend on the roads in the northwoods, as a tragic motorcycle crash occurred on Sunday, August 31, shortly after midnight in the Town of Arbor Vitae. Emergency services were alerted to the incident near Gross Road and Milton Lane after a 911 call reported an abandoned motorcycle.
Upon arrival, a deputy found the operator, a 33-year-old man from Arbor Vitae, who had died from injuries sustained in the crash.
His identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
The crash is under investigation.
