Wisconsin Badgers
MADISON, WI (WSAU) — The Wisconsin offense struggled in the first half but prevailed in their opening game, beating Miami of Ohio 17-0 on Thursday night at Camp Randall Stadium.
The Badgers led 3-0 at halftime after starting quarterback Billy Edwards Jr left the game with a lower-body injury. Danny O’Neill took over going 12-19 with a TD pass. He also ran for a score. Vinny Anthony II caught the touchdown.
The defense shone in this one, recording three sacks. Safety Preston Zachman had two interceptions.
The Badgers, now 1-0, will face Middle Tennessee State on September 6th in Madison
