WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Buyers have been revealed for two of the three closed Wausau Elementary buildings.
In a Facebook post, St. John Lutheran School announced that they have an agreement to purchase the Hewitt-Texas Elementary.
The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks. A purchase price has not been revealed.
“We are feeling very blessed by God’s plan to provide this new space to continue to learn about Him and the plans He has for us for many more years as a St. John Lutheran School,” said school leaders.

Hewitt-Texas is one of three buildings being sold by the Wausau School District, and the second to be sold to a Christian elementary school. Faith Christian Academy also has a deal in place to purchase Hawthorn Hills Elementary
The district also has a handshake agreement to sell Grant Elementary to an unidentified buyer.
All three deals are expected to close in August.

A fourth school, Lincoln Elementary, is being repurposed as a 4K facility.
