TOWN OF CORNING, WI (WSAU) — A 25-year-old Merrill man has been taken into custody in connection with the death of another man, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
It started with a call regarding 48-year-old John Stevenson, who was absent from work on Tuesday evening. When officers arrived at his home for a welfare check, they found him deceased.
They took the 25-year-old Austin Stevenson into custody Tuesday night. Officers note that the incident remains under investigation and there is no danger to the public.
