GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers have announced which changes they will be making to their season ticket prices and policies for the 2025 season.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Packers season-ticket holders will see their ticket prices increase by $7 to $21 per game, and fans will continue to be barred from purchasing a package and reselling their tickets due to the league’s non-renewal exercise, which carries a penalty of losing the ability to remain a season-ticket holder.
“Our overall average ticket price, which includes a general bowl and premium seating components, is expected to be near the middle of the NFL’s pricing,” said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy in a letter sent to Season Ticket Holders. “This is the benchmark we aim for in order to represent a great value for the top-rated Lambeau Field gameday experience, to remain competitive among NFL clubs, and to perform as a good business partner leaguewide in terms of shared ticket revenue.”
“This year, as part of the exercise, the organization declined to renew the season tickets of accounts that have sold 100% of their regular-season games for multiple years. Tickets not being renewed will be offered to fans on the waiting list,” a statement further read.
The issue of season-ticket holders, mainly those with the Gold Package, using the tickets essentially as a second income has been a complaint for many Packers fans online and for those attending the games in recent years, as rivalry matchups against the Bears, Vikings, and Lions have felt like road games for Green Bay. During the 2023 season, Lions fans nearly took over Lambeau Field during a September matchup against Detroit, which caused photos of the stands behind the Lions bench to trend on social media as the crowd was nearly a sea of blue. The Lions won the game with a final score of 34-20.
The Green Bay Packers have the longest waiting list in the league for season tickets, with more than 136,000 names as of 2024, and the team’s website states the wait time is approximately 30 years long. Payment for 2025 season tickets will be due at the Packers ticket office by March 28.
