MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The agency in charge of monitoring Wisconsin lawyers accuses a former State Supreme Court justice of multiple ethics violations.
Political watchdog group, LawForward, filed that complaint with The Office of Lawyer Regulation against Mike Gableman for his part in an investigation of the 2020 presidential election.
Chief counsel Jeff Mandel says Gableman knew better.
“He misrepresented things to opposing counsel. He told one thing to his client and another thing that was diametrically opposed to the public. He did not take instructions from his client, but did what he wanted to do.”
The State Supreme Court will now have to decide what, if any, action will be taken against Gableman.
