MADISON, WI (WTAQ-METRO) – We could get a new look inside Wisconsin’s divided Supreme Court later today. Chief Justice Annette Zeigler is due to deliver the State of the Judiciary Address later this afternoon.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has seen a bitter divide since liberal Justice Janet Protasiewicz was elected last year. The now liberal-majority court has since taken on several cases that Democrats held on to because of the past conservative court.
Just this week the court heard arguments about Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion law. But the court has also ruled on the legislative maps, and is gearing-up to hear a case that challenges Act 10.
