MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — With a large number of absentee ballots already cast, it may take some time to obtain election results in Wisconsin.
But Wisconsin Elections Commissioner Meagan Wolfe says that process is transparent
It will take as long as it takes to get it exactly right, and every step of that process, every ballot that’s counted, will be counted in the public eye. So there’s really no secrets over what’s happening or why something is taking as long as it is. That’s all observable and open to the public and the media to be a part of that as it’s happening.
Polls close at 8 p.m. on Election Day, and the large number of absentee ballots means results may not be available until the following day.
