MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A plea and sentencing hearing has been scheduled for a Lincoln County man accused of trying to steal trees from the High Grounds Christmas Tree Farm last October.
Court records show Raymond Hanson will return to court on September 30th to enter a plea for multiple felony counts for bail jumping and a misdemeanor for criminal damage to property. Investigators say Hanson got his vehicle stuck on the farm while trying to steal a tree.
Further investigation showed Hanson was also driving without a valid license and had numerous other open cases against him in Lincoln County for drug possession and trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia, OWI, and concealing stolen property.
The September 30th plea hearing will cover all of those open cases.
The 52-year-old is free on a $500 signature bond.
