MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – A Friday night fire at a Marshfield home has displaced two people and caused about $100,000 in damage, according to the Marshfield Fire Department.
They say a call for a fire came in around 9:30pm Friday at a house in the 1100 block of 15th Street.
Firefighters battled a fire that was in the garage and extended into the attic. They were able to get everyone out safely.
After crews put out the fire, they spent several hours removing personal items from the garage before pulling down the ceiling of the garage to ensure they got all the smoldering insulation. All fire damage was contained to the exterior and attic. There is water damage to the first floor and basement of the home.
